Led by a committed team and Dr Yee, the BAMS IMPACT PROJECT draws on over 27 years of experience in community health. Together with local leaders and organisations, we are building a brighter, healthier future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The BAMS IMPACT PROJECT is dedicated to Closing the Gap in Health and Social Disadvantage for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Our innovative platform aims to improve clinical health while expanding opportunities for social determinants of wellbeing.
We collaborate with respected Partners like Koda Capital Investments, Hall & Wilcox Lawyers, and the Australian Community Foundation to strengthen our social enterprise initiatives. By leveraging expert guidance and investment, we ensure sustainable growth and meaningful outcomes for our communities.
Dr Larry Yee
Strategy & Investment
Dr. Yee is a skin cancer practitioner with over 20 years of experience and a special interest in evidence-based Healthspan Longevity Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Adelaide, followed by a Master of Medicine from the University of Sydney. He further pursued postgraduate training in longevity medicine at the National University of Singapore.
Beyond his clinical practice, Larry is deeply committed to addressing social inequality through impact investment and social enterprise models. In addition to his work with BAMS Clinics and now BAMS IMPACT; his international initiatives include:
Telehealth programs in rural Rajasthan, India.
Purposeful longevity projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Larry has also completed postgraduate training in impact investment at the University of Oxford.
Harry Phillip Hall, a Gomeroi and Elder and the 2025 NAIDOC Male Elder of the Year, as a senior cultural liaison for renewable energy BAMS IMPACT.
Uncle Harry’s lifetime of advocacy across Indigenous affairs—including involvement in the 1965 Freedom Ride—provides deep credibility and trust within communities across NSW. His cultural authority enables authentic engagement with the Gomeroi Nation, whose Country covers much of the Central West REZ. His employment indigenous affairs spans more than 60 years, including his community and consultancy work, New South Wales Aboriginal Lands Trust (conducting state-wide meetings regarding Green Paper on NSW Aboriginal Land Rights Act), advisor for the late Charlie Perkins, coordination and the staging of the NSW annual Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout Carnival (Koori Knockout) for the past 40 years and coordination of the Survival Day concert for a number of years.

We have also started conversation with Australian Community Foundation (ACF); a leading philanthropic enabler in Australia that connects funders to social entrepreneurs to improve social well-being of the vulnerable in society.

Aided by the First Nations Clean Energy Network; we are engaged in discussions with local council, various green energy project developers and other stakeholders to launch ICORE projects in communities we serve in rural NSW; and beyond.
The aim is to generate sustainable income and relevant employment as well as to bring in infrastructure investment for these communities.

We are proud to announce the launch of the BAMS IMPACT PROJECT; an innovative platform which in addition to improving clinical health has the vision of providing increased opportunities for the social determinants of health and wellbeing of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities.
The BAMS IMPACT PROJECT will capitalise on the experience and assets built up over the last 27 years; to work collaboratively and synergistically with likeminded individuals and organisations, based on the principles of social enterprise and impact investment.
BAMS is excited that Dr Larry Yee has agreed to take up the role of Strategy and Investment Consultant and will be working closely with other Committee Members CEO – Ms. Leavina Reid – and the Chairperson – Mr. Lindsay Mooney, to ensure the Project is successful in meeting its Aims and Objectives.
Dr Yee was involved with the establishment of the first BAMS clinic more than 27 years ago; and subsequently the formation of the Bawrunga Coffs Harbour GP Super Clinic. Dr Yee has been a strong advocate for BAMS in its mission to improve the health and total well-being of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities, and he now will be working in conjunction with the Committee in the establishment of the BAMS IMPACT PROJECT.
